Sweet Idli/Viviga

img_5125This is a sweet idli which will surely be loved by kids. You can prepare this for breakfast or for snacks and you can eat it as such. It is healthy and you can prepare healthy snacks like this for kids.  The recipe is as follows

Preparation Time: 20minutes

Soaking Time: 4-5hours

Cooking Time: 30minutes

Ingredients:

  • Raw Rice/Pacharisi -300grams
  • Sugar -125grams
  • Cashews -10
  • Moong Dal/Pasi parupu -2tblsp
  • Raisins -15
  • Cardamom/Elakai/Elachi -5
  • Banana -1
  • Baking Soda -1/2tsp
  • Salt –As required
  • Preparation:
  • Soak raw rice for 4-5hours

Procedure:

  • Soak raw rice for 4-5hours
  • Then drain the water and let it dry for a while and then grind it and add sugar, cashews, raisins,baking soda, moong dal, crushed cardamom and mix well and allow it to rest till sugar dissolves completely
  • Then add mashed banana and mix well
  • Then pour it on idli plates and cook it
  • Then take from the plates and serve
  • Sweet Idli is now ready!!!
