Paneer Coconut Curry

img_5424This is a tasty curry made with paneer. You can take this as a side dish for chapatti, naan, parathas, idli and dosa. It is healthy and you can prepare this easily. The recipe is as follows

Preparation Time: 20minutes

Cooking Time: 30minutes

Ingredients:

  • Paneer -200gms
  • Big onion -1
  • Tomato -2
  • Fennel Seeds/Sombu/Perunjeerakam -1tsp
  • Cinnamon/Pattai -1inch piece
  • Coriander Seeds/Kothamalli -1 and 1/2tblsp
  • Red chili -10
  • Coconut -3tblsp
  • Coriander leaves –A spring
  • Salt –As required
  • Oil -As required

Preparation:

  • Chop onion and tomato into small pieces
  • Take paneer and slice it into small cubes and fry it slightly

Procedure:

  • Take paneer and slice it into small cubes and fry it slightly
  • Pour 1tblsp oil in a pan
  • Add fennel seeds, coriander seeds, red chilli, and cinnamon and fry it till it gets roasted
  • Then add coconut and mix well
  • Then allow it to cool
  • Pour 1tblsp oil in a pan
  • Add onion and fry till it becomes golden brown in color
  • Then add tomatoes and cook till it becomes soft and allow it to cool and grind it to a fine paste along with the spices roasted and kept
  • Pour 1tsp oil in a pan
  • Then add the grinded masala and add 1/2cup water and boil
  • Add salt and boil in a low flame for 15minutes
  • Then add paneer and mix well and boil for few minutes and switch off the flame
  • Add coriander leaves and mix well
  • Paneer Coconut Curry is now ready!!!

Step by Step Procedure:
