Coconut Cashew Chutney

img_4558This is a quick and easy chutney which can be prepared in minutes. It is very healthy and you can prepare this for kids and give. As it involves no cooking you can easily do this when you are in a hurry. You can have this as a side dish with idli and dosa. The recipe is as follows

Preparation Time: 20minutes

Cooking Time: 30minutes

Ingredients:

  • Coconut -1/2cup
  • Roasted Gram Dal/Porikadalai -1tsp
  • Cashews -1/4cup
  • Green chilli -2
  • Mustard Seeds/Kadugu -1tsp
  • Urad Dal/Ulunthu -1/4tsp
  • Curry leaves –A spring
  • Garlic -1
  • Salt –As required
  • Oil –As required

Preparation:

  • Chop coconut into small pieces

Procedure:

  • Take chopped coconut, green chilli, garlic, cashews, gram dal and salt in a blender and grind it well by adding water
  • Pour oil in a pan
  • Add mustard seeds, urad dal, and curry leaves and fry and add it to the chutney and mix well
  • Coconut Cashew Chutney is now ready!!!

Step by Step Procedure:

Take chopped coconut, green chilli, garlic, cashews, gram dal and salt in a blender and grind it well by adding water
