Kohlrabi Gravy/Noolkol Gravy

IMG_4469This is a healthy and tasty gravy. You can take this with chapatti, naan, idli and dosa. The recipe is as follows

Preparation Time: 15minutes

Cooking Time: 35minutes

Ingredients:

  • Kohlrabi/Noolkol -1
  • Big onion -1
  • Tomato -2
  • Ginger Garlic paste -1tblsp
  • Curry leaves –A spring
  • Red chilli powder/Milagai thool -1tsp
  • Coriander powder/Malli thool -1tsp
  • Cumin powder/Seeraka thool -1/2tsp
  • Turmeric powder/Manjal thool -1/4tsp
  • Coconut -1/4cup
  • Coriander leaves –A spring
  • Salt –As required
  • Oil -As required

Preparation:

  • Chop onion and tomato into small pieces
  • Peel the skin from kohlrabi and chop it into small pieces

Procedure:

  • Pour oil in a pan
  • Add curry leaves and onion and fry till onion becomes golden brown in color
  • Then add tomatoes and mix well till it gets soft
  • Then add ginger garlic paste and mix well
  • Then add chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder and salt and mix well
  • Then add kohlrabi and mix well
  • Then add grinded coconut and boil
  • Then add coriander leaves and mix well
  • Noolkol Gravy is now ready!!!
