Palak Roti

IMG_4594This is a tasty and healthy roti which has grinded palak leaves in it. For kids who don’t like spinach you can give tasty chapati and kids will surely like it. The recipe is as follows

Preparation Time: 15minutes

Cooking Time: 20minutes

Ingredients:

  • All purpose flour/Wheat flour/Atta -3cups
  • Palak leaves -1cup
  • Red chilli powder/M ilagai thool -1tblsp
  • Turmeric powder/Manjal thool -1tsp
  • Salt -1tsp
  • Oil -1/4cup
  • Water -1/4cup or as required

Preparation:

  • Add water to palak leaves in a pan and boil it and then grind it to a fine puree

Procedure:

  • Add water to palak leaves in a pan and boil it and then grind it to a fine puree
  • Take wheat flour in a pan and add palak puree to it
  • Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt and mix well
  • Add water and knead it to form a dough
  • Add oil and knead well
  • Form small balls out of it and roll it and place it on a hot tawa and cook on both sides
  • Palak Roti is now ready!!!
