Milk Powder Gulab Jamun

IMG_4152This is an easy and tasty dish which you can prepare for any occasion. The taste will be very nice and surely everyone will like it. You can use any milk powder but i used ‘Everyday’. You can serve this hot or cold.  The recipe is as follows

Preparation Time: 15minutes

Cooking Time: 30minutes

Ingredients:

  • Milk Powder -1cup
  • Maida/All purpose flour -3tblsp
  • Baking Soda –a pinch
  • Ghee -1tsp
  • Sugar -1 and 1/2cup
  • Water -2cups
  • Cardamom powder -1tsp
  • Curd/Yogurt -2tblsp
  • Salt –A pinch
  • Oil –For deep frying

Preparation:

  • Take flour, milk powder, salt and baking soda in a bowl and mix it together and add ghee and curd and knead it to a fine dough

Procedure:

  • Take flour, milk powder, salt and baking soda in a bowl and mix it together and add ghee and curd and knead it to a fine dough
  • Then allow it to rest for 5minutes
  • Take sugar and water in a pan and allow it to boil
  • Then boil it for 8-10minutes in low flame till it gets sticky
  • Then add cardamom powder and mix well
  • Take the dough and make it into small balls without any cracks
  • Pour oil in a pan for deep frying
  • Take the balls and put it and fry till it becomes golden and then drain it and drop it into hot syrup
  • Reheat the syrup if necessary
  • Soak the jamuns for 2hours and serve hot or cold
  • Milk Powder Gulab Jamun is now ready!!!
