Jack fruit Seeds Egg Fry/Palakottai Muttai Poriyal

IMG_5093This is a tasty and quick fry made with jackfruit seeds and egg. It is easy to prepare and it can be taken as a side dish with rice. The recipe is as follows

Preparation Time: 20minutes

Cooking Time: 30minutes

Ingredients:

  • Jack fruit seeds/Palakottai -10
  • Egg -1
  • Big onion -1
  • Mustard Seeds/Kadugu -1tsp
  • Urad Dal/Ulutham parupu -1/2tsp
  • Cumin Seeds/Seerakam -1/2tsp
  • Curry leaves –A spring
  • Green chilli -2
  • Salt –As required
  • Oil -As required

Preparation:

  • Chop onion and green chilli into small pieces
  • Keep the jack fruit seeds in sunlight and peel the skin off and pressure cook it for 3whistles in cooker and chop it into small pieces
  • Beat egg well and keep

Procedure:

  • Pour oil in a pan
  • Add mustard seeds and after it crackles add urad dal, cumin seeds, curry leaves, green chilli and onion and fry till onion becomes golden brown in color
  • Keep the jack fruit seeds in sunlight and peel the skin off and pressure cook it for 3whistles in cooker and chop it into small pieces and add it and mix well
  • Then add salt and mix well
  • Beat an egg and add it and mix it well
  • Jack Fruit Seeds Egg Fry is now ready!!!
