Nuts Burfi

IMG_3824This is a tasty and healthy snack which can be made easily. You can prepare healthy snacks like this for kids when they come from school. Instead of eating deep fried stuff you can prefer healthy snacks like this. You can prepare this and can store it in a airtight container and keep this for up to one week. The recipe is as follows

Preparation Time: 10minutes

Cooking Time: 20minutes

Ingredients:

  • Cornflakes -1cup
  • Oats -1cup
  • Peanuts -1/2cup
  • Roasted Gram Dal/Porikadalai -1/2cup
  • Kismis -1/2cup
  • Jaggery/Sugar -2cups
  • Dates -1/2cup
  • Sesame Seeds/Ellu -1/2cup
  • Water -1/2cup

Preparation:

  • Powder peanuts and roasted gram dal
  • Grease a plate with oil

Procedure:

  • Take jaggery in a a pan and add water and boil till it dissolves completely in water
  • Then add cornflakes, oats, powdered peanuts, gram dal, kismis, chopped dates and sesame seeds and mix well
  • Fry till it starts leaving the sided of the pan
  • Now pour it on a greased plate and flatten it well and allow it to cool
  • Then slice it into bars and enjoy
  • Nuts Burfi is now ready!!!

Step by Step Procedure:
