Vanilla Sponge Cake

IMG_3695This is a basic sponge cake recipe which can be made easily at home. It tastes very nice and you can prepare this as a snack for kids.The recipe is as follows

Preparation Time: 10minutes

Baking Time: 30minutes

Ingredients:

  • All purpose Flour/Maida -1and ½ cup
  • Sugar -1 and ½ cup
  • Eggs -3
  • Oil -1/2cup
  • Milk -1/4cup
  • Curd/Yogurt -1/4cup
  • Baking Powder -1tsp
  • Salt -1/4tsp
  • Vanilla essence -1tsp

Preparation:

Procedure:

  • Take flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl and mix well
  • Take oil in a bowl and add sugar in a bowl and beat it well with an electric beater
  • Then add vanilla essence and mix well
  • In a bowl take eggs and beat it well with electric beater and add it to the sugar oil mixture and mix well
  • Add milk and curd and mix well
  • Then add flour mixture and mix it well without lumps and pour it on a greased cake pan and bake it for 30minutes
  • When you insert a tooth pick it should come out clean. If so it is baked correctly
  • Then allow it to cool down and invert it and cut it and enjoy
  • Vanilla Sponge Cake is now ready!!!
