Pearl Millet Ladoo/Bajra Ladoo/Kambu Ladoo/Sweet Pearl Millet Balls

IMG_3373This is a healthy and quick snack made with pearl millet/kambu/bajra. It is good for health and you can prepare this for kids when they come from school. The recipe is as follows

Preparation Time: 10minutes

Cooking Time: 15minutes

Ingredients:

  • Pearl Millet/Bajra/Kambu -1 and 1/2cup
  • Jaggery/Sugar -3/4cup
  • Ghee -3-4tblsp
  • Cardamom powder/Elakai powder/Elachi powder -1/2tsp
  • Cashews -5-10
  • Kismis -10-15

Preparation:

  • Take pearl millet/kambu in a pan and dry roast it till the color changes and allow to cool and grind it

Procedure:

  • Take pearl millet/kambu in a pan and dry roast it till the color changes and allow to cool and grind it
  • Add jaggery in a pan and add ½ cup water and boil till it melts
  • Then strain it and add to the kambu flour and mix it
  • Pour ghee in a pan
  • Add cashews and kismis and fry and keep aside
  • Add the remaining melted ghee and mix it with the kambu flour and add nuts and cardamom powder and mix well
  • Form small ladoos out to it
  • Kambu Ladoo is now ready!!!
