Beetroot Burfi

IMG_3640This is a healthy and tasty snack made with beetroot. You can prepare snacks like this and give it for kids who don’t like to eat vegetables like beetroot and they surely like it. The recipe is as follows

Preparation Time: 10minutes

Cooking Time: 25minutes

Ingredients:

  • Beetroot -1cup
  • Coconut -1cup
  • Sugar -1 and 1/2cup
  • Ghee -1/4cup
  • Cashews -1tblsp
  • Cardamom powder/Elakai powder/Elachi powder -1tsp

Preparation:

  • Grate beetroot using a grater
  • Grate coconut
  • Grease a plate with ghee and keep aside

Procedure:

  • Pour ghee in a pan
  • Add cashew and fry
  • Then add beetroot and fry
  • Add coconut and mix well and fry till raw smell leaves off from beetroot
  • Then add sugar and mix well till it melts
  • Add cardamom powder and stir till it start to leave from the sides of the pan
  • Then pour it on a greased plate and spread it and cut it into squares and enjoy
  • Beetroot Burfi is now ready!!!

Step by Step Procedure:
