Wheat Poori

IMG_3304This is a tasty dish which you can make for breakfast. You can have it with chutney or any curries of your choice. As we use wheat it is very healthy and kids will really love it. The recipe is as follows

Preparation Time: 10minutes

Cooking Time: 25minutes

Ingredients:

  • Wheat -1 and 1/2cup
  • Salt -1tsp or as required
  • Ghee -1tsp
  • Oil –for deep frying

Preparation:

  • Sieve flour

Procedure:

  • Take flour, salt and ghee in a bowl and mix well
  • Add little water and knead to a smooth dough but it should be little stiffer than chapatti dough
  • Do not keep the dough for much time as it will suck much oil. So prepare poori as soon as the dough is ready
  • Take the dough and make small balls out of it
  • Then roll it using a roller to small circles or you can use poori press too which helps to press easily. You can purchase poori press online from the link below:

 


  • Pour oil in a pan for deep frying
  • Once the oil gets hot, take the rolled dough and deep fry it one by one
  • Wheat Poori is now ready!!!
