Snake Gourd Vadai/Pudalangai Vadai

IMG_2910This is a tasty and healthy snack made with snake gourd. It can be taken as a side dish for rice or as an evening snack. The recipe is as follows

Preparation Time: 15minutes

Cooking Time: 25minutes

Ingredients:

  • Snake Gourd/Pudalangai -1/2
  • Big onion -1
  • Besan Flour/Kadalai maavu -2tblsp
  • Rice Flour/Arisi Maavu -4tblsp
  • Red chilli powder/Milagai thool -1tblsp
  • Curry leaves –A spring
  • Salt -1tsp or as required
  • Oil -For deep frying

Preparation:

  • Chop snake gourd into thin slices

Procedure:

  • Take snake gourd, onion, chilli powder, rice flour, besan flour, curry leaves and salt in a bowl and mix everything without lumps by adding little water
  • Pour oil in a pan for deep frying
  • Take small portion of the vadai and deep fry it one by one
  • Snake Gourd Vadai is now ready!!!

Step by Step Procedure:
