Potato Podimas

IMG_2915This is a quick and tasty fry made with potatoes. It is so easy to prepare but tastes very awesome. It can be taken as a side dish for rice. The recipe is as follows

Preparation Time: 10minutes

Cooking Time: 20minutes

Ingredients:

  • Small onion/Shallots/Sambar onion -1/4cup
  • Potato -2
  • Curry leaves –A spring
  • Green chilli -2
  • Mustard seeds/Kadugu -1tsp
  • Cumin seeds/Seerakam -1/4tsp
  • Coconut Gratings -1/4cup
  • Salt -1tsp or as required
  • Oil -1tblsp or as required

Preparation:

  • Chop onion into small pieces
  • Boil potato and peel the skin and cut it into small pieces
  • Grate coconut

Procedure:

  • Pour oil in a pan
  • Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves, green chilli and small onion and fry
  • Then add boiled potatoes and fry
  • Add salt and coconut gratings and mix well
  • Potato Podimas is now ready!!!
