Mutton Pepper Gravy/Mutton Milagu Kulambu

IMG_3042This is a tasty mutton gravy which can be done easily. It can be taken with rice, idli, dosa, chapatti and naan. The recipe is as follows

Preparation Time: 10minutes

Cooking Time: 30minutes

Marination Time : 30minutes

Ingredients:

  • Mutton -1/2kg
  • Coriander leaves -1/4cup
  • Ginger garlic paste -1tblsp
  • Green chilli -3
  • Lemon juice -1tsp
  • Big onion -2
  • Tomato -3
  • Red chilli powder/Milagai thool -1tsp
  • Coriander powder/Malli thool -2tsp
  • Salt -1tsp or as required
  • Oil -2tblsp or as required

For Grinding:

  • Coriander leaves -1/4cup
  • Ginger garlic paste -1tblsp
  • Green chilli -3

Grind this to a smooth paste and marinate with mutton and add lemon juice and mix well and marinate for 30minutes

Preparation:

  • Chop onion and tomato into small pieces
  • Grind coriander leaves, green chilli, ginger garlic paste to a smooth paste and marinate with mutton and add lemon juice and mix well and marinate for 30minutes

Procedure:

  • Pour oil in a pressure cooker
  • Add onion and fry till it becomes golden brown in color
  • Then add tomatoes and fry till it becomes soft
  • Add chilli powder, coriander powder and salt and mix well
  • Then add marinated mutton and add water and pressure cook for 5whistles in high flame and in low flame for 10minutes
  • Mutton Pepper Gravy is now ready!!!

Step by Step Procedure:

Pour oil in a pressure cooker. Add onion and fry till it becomes golden brown in color
