Lemony Green Gram Sundal

IMG_2612This is a tasty and healthy sundal recipe made with green gram. It can be taken for breakfast or as a snack. The recipe is as follows

Preparation Time: 20minutes

Cooking Time: 15minutes

Ingredients:

  • Green Gram/Pasi Payir -1/2cup
  • Shallots/Small onion/Sambar onion -1/4cup
  • Mustard seeds/Kadugu -1/2tsp
  • Green chilli -2
  • Curry leaves –A spring
  • Lemon -1
  • Coriander leaves –A spring
  • Salt -1tsp or as required
  • Oil -1tblsp or as required

Preparation:

  • Chop onion into small pieces
  • Cook green gram in pressure cooker with water for 3whistles in high flame and in low flame for 15minutes

Procedure:

  • Pour oil in a pan
  • Add mustard seeds, curry leaves, green chilli and onion and fry
  • Then add boiled green gram and mix well
  • Add lemon juice and mix well
  • Add coriander leaves and mix well
  • Garnish with chopped onion and serve
  • Lemony Green Gram Sundal is now ready!!!

Step by Step Procedure:
