Gobi Tikka/Tandoori Gobi/Cauliflower Tikka/Tandoori Cauliflower

IMG_2467This is a tasty starter recipe made with cauliflower. It can also be had as a snack or as a side dish for rice and it’s healthy as it does not involve deep fry. As it is baked it requires less oil and serves as a healthy snack. The recipe is as follows

Preparation Time: 20minutes

Baking Time: 30minutes

Grilling Time : 5minutes

Ingredients:

  • Cauliflower -10-15
  • Curd -1/4cup
  • Ginger garlic paste -1tsp
  • Red chili powder/Milagai thool -1tsp
  • Coriander powder/Malli thool -1/2tsp
  • Turmeric powder/Manjal thool -1/4tsp
  • Besan Flour/Kadalai maavu -1tblsp
  • Garam Masala -1/2tsp
  • Cumin powder/Seeraka thool -1/4tsp
  • Lemon juice -1/2tsp
  • Salt -1tsp or as required
  • Oil -1tblsp or as required

Preparation:

  • Chop cauliflower into small pieces

Procedure:

  • Cut cauliflower into small florets and boil in in water by adding salt and turmeric powder. Then drain it and keep aside
  • Take the cauliflower and add curd, ginger garlic paste, chilli powder, coriander powder, besan flour, garam masala, cumin powder and oil and mix well
  • Place this in a baking bowl
  • Preheat the oven at 180degrees
  • Bake this for 30minutes in convection mode and turn in between with tongs for even baking
  • Then grill it in grill mode for 5minutes and brush with oil if necessary and take it out and squeeze lemon juice. You can brush it with pastry brush and you can buy it online from the link below

Step by Step Procedure:

Cut cauliflower into small florets and boil in in water by adding salt and turmeric powder. Then drain it and keep aside
