Egg Biriyani/Muttai Biriyani

IMG_2640This is a tasty biriyani recipe made with egg. This will be really wonderful and will surely be loved by all. It can be prepared for lunch easily and it is simple to make. The recipe is as follows

Preparation Time: 20minutes

Cooking Time: 30minutes

Ingredients:

  • Basmati Rice -1cup
  • Egg -3
  • Big onion -1
  • Biriyani leaf -1
  • Cinnamon/Pattai -1inch piece
  • Cloves/Krambu -2
  • Cardamom/Elakai -3
  • Star Anise -1
  • Ginger garlic paste -1tblsp
  • Tomatoes -2
  • Green chilli -2
  • Curd -1/4cup
  • Mint leaves -1/4cup
  • Coriander leaves -1/4cup
  • Red chilli powder -1tsp
  • Coconut Milk -1 and 1/4cup
  • Salt -1tsp or as required
  • Oil -2tblsp or as required

Preparation:

  • Chop onion and tomato into small pieces
  • Boil Egg
  • Wash coriander and mint leaves
  • Extract the milk out from coconut and keep

Procedure:

  • Pour oil in a cooker and add cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, star anise, biriyani leaf, green chilli and onion and fry till onion becomes golden brown in color
  • Then add ginger garlic paste and mix well
  • Add tomatoes and mix well till it becomes soft
  • Add curd and mix well
  • Then add washed coriander and mint leaves and mix
  • Add the boiled eggs and mix it well with the masala
  • Then add coconut milk and add salt and chili powder and boil
  • Add basmati rice and mix well and close the cooker and pressure cook for 1whistle in high flame and in low flame for 3minutes
  • Egg Biriyani is now ready!!!

Step by Step Procedure:
