Buttermilk Curry/Mor Kulambu

IMG_2824This is a tasty and easy curry made with buttermilk. It is so simple to make and you can prepare this when you are in a hurry. It can be taken with rice. The recipe is as follows

Preparation Time: 5minutes

Cooking Time: 20minutes

Ingredients:

  • Curd/Buttermilk -1cup
  • Coconut -1tsp
  • Ginger -1/4inch piece
  • Green chilli -4
  • Cumin powder/Seeraka thool -1/4tsp
  • Turmeric powder/Manjal thool -1/2tsp
  • Mustard seeds/Kadugu -1tsp
  • Red chilli -2
  • Curry leaves –A spring
  • Coriander leaves -2tsp
  • Salt -1tsp or as required
  • Oil -1tblsp or as required

For Grinding:

  • Coconut -1tsp
  • Ginger -1/4inch piece
  • Green chilli -4
  • Cumin powder/Seeraka thool -1/4tsp
  • Turmeric powder/Manjal thool -1/2tsp

Grind this to a smooth paste by adding water

Preparation:

  • Grind everything given under “For grinding” and grind it to a smooth paste and mix it with buttermilk/curd

Procedure:

  • Grind everything given under “For grinding” and grind it to a smooth paste and mix it with buttermilk/curd
  • Pour oil in a pan
  • Add mustard seeds, red chilli, curry leaves and fry
  • Then add the curd/buttermilk mixture and boil
  • Then switch off the flame and add coriander leaves
  • Buttermilk Curry is now ready!!!

Step by Step Procedure:
