Beetroot Halwa

IMG_2359This is a tasty and a healthy snack which can be made easily. It can be given as an evening snack to children and they will surely love it. The recipe is as follows

Preparation Time: 10minutes

Cooking Time: 25minutes

Ingredients:

  • Beetroot -1cup
  • Sugar/Jaggery -1/2cup
  • Milk -1cup
  • Cardamom powder/Elakai thool -1/4tsp
  • Cashew -5-10
  • Ghee -3tblsp

Preparation:

  • Grate beetroot

Procedure:

  • Pour ghee in a pan and add beetroot and fry
  • Add milk and boil
  • Add jaggery and mix well till it gets dissolved
  • Add cardamom powder and roasted cashew and mix well
  • Beetroot Halwa is now ready!!!
