Soft Idlis

IMG_9790This is about how to cook soft idlis. For soft idlis you have to prepare a different batter different from dosa batter. The recipe is as follows

Preparation Time: 30minutes

Cooking Time: 20minutes

Ingredients:

  • Urad Dal/Ulutham Parupu -1cup
  • Idli Rice -4cups
  • Fenugreek Seeds/Venthayam -2tblsp
  • Salt -2tblsp

Preparation:

  • Soak Rice with water for 3-4hours
  • Soak Dal with water for 1-2hours

Procedure:

  • Grind rice in a grinder by adding required water
  • Then grind dal mix both together and add salt and allow it to ferment
  • Pour batter in a idli cooker
  • Cook it till idlis gets cooked
  • Soft Idlis is now ready!!!

Step by Step Procedure:
