Mosambi Rice/Sathukudi Sadam

IMG_2069This is a tasty and quick variety rice recipe. This can also be made when you have left over rice. The recipe is as follows

Preparation Time: 15minutes

Cooking Time: 30minutes

Ingredients:

  • Cooked Rice -1cup
  • Sathukudi juice/Mosambi juice -1/2up
  • Red chilli -4
  • Peanuts -1tblsp
  • Cumin seeds/Seerakam -1/2tsp
  • Channa Dal/Kadalai parupu -1tsp
  • Curry leaves –A spring
  • Garlic -2
  • Turmeric powder/Manjal thool -1tsp
  • Mustard seeds/Kadugu -1tsp
  • Salt -1tsp or as required
  • Oil -2tblsp or as required

Preparation:

  • Cook rice
  • Extract the juice from mosambi and keep

Procedure:

  • Pour oil in a pan
  • Add red chilli and peanuts and fry
  • Add cumin seeds and channa dal and fry
  • Then add garlic and curry leaves and fry
  • Then add mosambi juice and salt and turmeric powder and mix well
  • Add rice and mix well
  • Mosambi Rice is now ready!!!

Step by Step Procedure:

Extract the juice from mosambi and keep

IMG_2063Then add mosambi juice and salt and turmeric powder and mix well
