Lemon Rasam

IMG_1870This is a quick and tasty rasam which can be made for lunch in few minutes. It can be taken with rice and you can easily prepare this when you are in a hurry. The recipe is as follows

Preparation Time: 5minutes

Cooking Time: 15minutes

Ingredients:

  • Lemon -1
  • Green chilli -3
  • Garlic -3
  • Red chilli powder/Milagai thool -1tsp
  • Turmeric powder/Manjal thool -1/2tsp
  • Cumin powder/Seeraka thool -1/2tsp
  • Mustard seeds/Kadugu -1tsp
  • Red chilli -2
  • Cumin seeds/Seerakam -1tsp
  • Curry leaves –A spring
  • Water -1cup
  • Salt -1tsp or as required
  • Oil -1tblsp

Preparation:

  • Crush garlic

Procedure:

  • Crush garlic and add it in water along with green chilli
  • Then add lemon juice to it and mix well
  • Then add salt, chilli powder, turmeric powder and cumin powder and mix well
  • Pour oil in a pan
  • Add mustard seeds, red chilli and cumin seeds and fry
  • Add curry leaves and fry
  • Then add lemon water mixture and boil
  • Lemon Rasam is now ready!!!

Step by Step Procedure:

Crush garlic and add it in water along with green chilli
