Corn Flour Halwa/Karachi Halwa

IMG_2220This is a tasty and easy halwa made with corn flour. You can make this as a snack and can enjoy. The recipe is as follows

Preparation Time: 10minutes

Cooking Time: 30minutes

Ingredients:

  • Corn flour -1/2cup
  • Sugar -1 and 1/2cup
  • Water -2 and 1/2cup
  • Ghee -1tblsp
  • Cardamom powder/Elakai powder/Elachi powder -1/2tsp
  • Orange Food Color -1pinch

Preparation:

  • Grease a plate with ghee and keep aside
  • In a bowl mix corn flour with 1 and ½ cup water and mix well without lumps

Procedure:

  • In a bowl mix corn flour with 1 and ½ cup water
  • Then add food color to it and mix well
  • In a pan take sugar and 1cup water and boil
  • Then add corn flour mixture and stir till it reaches halwa stage
  • Add ghee and cardamom powder and stir well
  • When it reaches thick consistency pour it on a greased plate and allow it to cool for 1hour to cut it into pieces
  • Then cut it into slices and enjoy. You can also store it in refrigerator and use it for up to 1week
  • Corn flour Halwa is now ready!!!

Step by Step Procedure:
