Cauliflower Gravy

IMG_2161This is a tasty dish made with cauliflower. It can be taken as a side dish with chapatti, naan and poori. The recipe is as follows

Preparation Time: 15minutes

Cooking Time: 30minutes

Ingredients:

  • Cauliflower -1 (small)
  • Big onion -1
  • Cinnamon/Pattai -1inch piece
  • Cloves/Krambu -2
  • Cumin seeds/Seerakam -1tsp
  • Curry leaves –A spring
  • Ginger garlic paste -1tsp
  • Tomato -2
  • Red chilli powder/Milagai thool -1tblsp
  • Turmeric powder/Manjal thool -1tsp
  • Garam Masala -1tblsp
  • Corn flour -1tsp
  • Coriander leaves –A spring
  • Salt -1tsp or as required
  • Oil -1tblsp or as required

Preparation:

  • Chop onion and tomato into small pieces
  • Cook cauliflower in boiling water for 10minutes with salt and drain water and keep

Procedure:

  • Pour oil in a pan
  • Add cinnamon, cloves, cumin seeds, curry leaves and onion and fry till onion becomes golden brown in color
  • Then add ginger garlic paste and mix well
  • Add tomatoes and fry till it becomes soft
  • Then add chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala nad salt and mix well
  • Add cauliflower and mix it well with the masala
  • Add corn flour mixed with water and add water and boil and add coriander leaves
  • Cauliflower Gravy is now ready!!!

Step by Step Procedure:
