Yam Roast/Senaikilangu roast

IMG_0664This is a tasty fry which can be made easily. It goes well as a side dish with rice. The recipe is as follows

Preparation Time: 20minutes

Cooking Time: 20minutes

Ingredients:

  • Yam/Senaikilangu -1cup chopped
  • Red chilli powder/Milagai thool -2tsp
  • Coriander powder/Malli thool -1tsp
  • Turmeric powder/Manjal thool -1tsp
  • Curry leaves –A spring
  • Salt -1tsp or as required
  • Oil -2tblsp or as required

Preparation:

  • Chop yam into small pieces
  • Marinate yam with chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, curry leaves and salt for 15minutes

Procedure:

  • Marinate yam with chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, curry leaves and salt for 15minutes
  • Pour oil in a pan
  • Add marinated yam and fry till it gets cooked
  • Yam Roast is now ready!!!
