Spring Onion Fry

IMG_1701This is a tasty and easy fry made with spring onions. It can be taken as a side dish with rice. The recipe is as follows

Preparation Time: 15minutes

Cooking Time: 20minutes

Ingredients:

  • Spring Onion -1bunch
  • Big onion -1
  • Curry leaves –A spring
  • Mustard seeds/Kadugu -1tsp
  • Urad Dal/Ulutham parupu -1/2tsp
  • Cumin seeds/Seerakam -1/2tsp
  • Red chilli powder/Milagai thool -1tsp
  • Coriander powder/Malli thool -1/2tsp
  • Cumin powder/Seeraka thool -1/2tsp
  • Salt -1tsp or as required
  • Oil -1tblsp or as required

Preparation:

  • Chop onion into small pieces
  • Wash and chop the white and green part of spring onion

Procedure:

  • Wash and take your spring onions
  • Chop the white and green part of spring onion into small pieces
  • Pour oil in a pan
  • Add mustard seeds, urad dal, cumin seeds, curry leaves and onion and fry
  • Then add spring onion and fry till it gets cooked
  • Then add chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and salt and mix well
  • Spring Onion Fry is now ready!!!

Step by Step Procedure:

Wash and take your spring onions

IMG_1698Pour oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, urad dal, cumin seeds, curry leaves and onion and fry
