Radish Jack fruit Seeds Fry/Mullangi Palakottai Poriyal

IMG_1195This is a tasty and easy fry made with radish and jack fruit seeds. It can be taken as a side dish with rice. The recipe is as follows

Preparation Time: 15minutes

Cooking Time: 25minutes

Ingredients:

  • Jack fruit Seeds/Palakottai -7-10
  • Big Onion -1
  • Green chilli -2
  • Curry leaves –A spring
  • Mustard seeds/Kadugu -1tsp
  • Urad Dal/Ulutham Parupu -1/2tsp
  • Cumin Seeds/Seerakam -1/2tsp
  • Coconut Gratings -1/4cup
  • Salt -1tsp or as required
  • Oil -1tblsp or as required

Preparation:

  • Pressure cook jack fruit seeds with water for 5whistles in high flame and in low flame for 10minutes
  • Chop onion into small pieces
  • Peel the skin and chop radish into small pieces

Procedure:

  • Pour oil in a pan
  • Add mustard seeds, urad dal, cumin seeds, curry leaves, green chilli and onion and fry
  • Then add radish and fry till it gets cooked
  • Then add cooked jackfruit seeds and salt and mix well
  • Then add coconut gratings and mix well
  • Radish Jackfruit Seeds is now ready!!!

Step by Step Procedure:

Pour oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, urad dal, cumin seeds, curry leaves, green chilli and onion and fry
