Potato Roast/Urulai kilangu Varuval

IMG_0447This is a simple potato roast which you can make easily when you are in a hurry. It can be taken as a side dish with rice.The recipe is as follows

Preparation Time: 10minutes

Cooking Time: 25minutes

Ingredients:

  • Potato -2
  • Pepper powder/Milagu thool -1tsp
  • Turmeric powder/Manjal thool -1tsp
  • Mustard seeds/Kadugu -1tsp
  • Cumin seeds/Seerakam -1/2tsp
  • Garlic -5
  • Curry leaves –A spring
  • Salt -1tsp or as required
  • Oil -2tblsp or as required

Preparation:

  • Peel the skin and chop potato into small pieces

Procedure:

  • Take the chopped potato in a pan and add water and boil it till it gets cooked
  • Then strain the water and add pepper powder, turmeric powder and salt
  • Mix it well with the potato
  • Pour oil in a pan
  • Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, garlic and curry leaves and fry
  • Then add potato and fry well till it gets roasted
  • Potato Roast is now ready!!!

Step by Step Procedure:
