Moong Dal Chutney/Pasi Parupu Thovayal

IMG_1116This is a healthy chutney which can be made very easily. It can be taken as a side dish for idli and dosa. The recipe is as follows

Preparation Time: 5minutes

Cooking Time: 25minutes

Ingredients:

  • Moong Dal/Pasi parupu -1/2cup
  • Coconut -2tblsp
  • Garlic -3
  • Pepper/Milagu -1/2tsp
  • Red chilli -3
  • Tamarind -1inch piece
  • Salt -1tsp or as required
  • Oil -1tblsp or as required

Preparation:

  • Grate coconut

Procedure:

  • Pour oil in a pan
  • Fry moong dal in it and keep aside
  • In a pan add, garlic, pepper, red chilli and coconut gratings and fry
  • Add salt and grind it with tamarind
  • Moong Dal Chutney is now ready!!!

Step by Step Procedure:

Pour oil in a pan. Add moong dal to it

IMG_1112In a pan add, garlic, pepper, red chilli and coconut gratings and fry

IMG_1114Add salt and grind it with tamarind and moong dal. Moong Dal Chutney is now ready!!!
