Mint Curry Leaves Chutney/Pudhina Karivepilai thovayal

IMG_0240This is an easy and tasty chutney. It is healthy too and it goes well as a side dish for idli and dosa. The recipe is as follows

Preparation Time: 15minutes

Cooking Time: 25minutes

Ingredients:

  • Curry leaves -1/2cup
  • Mint leaves -1cup
  • Big Onion -1
  • Red chilli -3
  • Garlic -8
  • Tamarind -1 inch piece
  • Salt -1tsp or as required
  • Oil -1tblsp or as required

Preparation:

  • Chop onion and garlic into small pieces
  • Wash mint and curry leaves well in water

Procedure:

  • Pour oil in a pan
  • Add garlic and red chilli and fry
  • Then add big onion and fry till it becomes golden brown in color
  • Then add curry leaves and mint leaves and fry well till it shrinks
  • Grind it with tamarind and salt
  • Mint Curry leaves Chutney is now ready!!!

Step by Step Procedure:

Pour oil in a pan. Add garlic and red chilli and fry
