Masala Kuzhipaniyaram

IMG_1325This is a tasty recipe which you can prepare for breakfast or for snack too. It can be taken with chutney and sambar. You can also prepare this when the idli batter turns too sour. The recipe is as follows

Preparation Time: 15minutes

Cooking Time: 20minutes

Ingredients:

  • Idli Batter -2cups(For homemade idli batter recipe click here –>Click)
  • Mustard Seeds/Kadugu -1tsp
  • Urad Dal/Ulutham Parupu -1tsp
  • Asafoetida/Hing/Purunkayam -1/4tsp
  • Curry leaves –A spring
  • Shallots/Sambar Onion -10
  • Green chilli -2
  • Ginger -1tsp
  • Coconut gratings-1/4cup
  • Salt –As required
  • Oil -1tblsp

Preparation:

  • Chop onion into small pieces

Procedure:

  • Pour oil in a pan
  • Add mustard seeds, urad dal, curry leaves and hing and fry
  • Then add green chilli, ginger and onion and fry
  • Then add coconut and mix well
  • Pour this on the idli batter and mix it well
  • Now grease a kuzhipaniyaram mould with oil and pour this batter and cover with a lid and cook for 7-10minutes in low flame till it gets cooked
  • Now flip it to the other side and cook
  • Masala Kuzhipaniyaram is now ready!!!

Step by Step Procedure:

IMG_1321Now grease a kuzhipaniyaram mould with oil and pour this batter and cover with a lid and cook for 7-10minutes in low flame till it gets cooked
