Beetroot Plantain Fry

IMG_1538This is a tasty and an easy fry which you can make very easily. It can be taken as a side dish with rice. The recipe is as follows

Preparation Time: 10minutes

Cooking Time: 20minutes

Ingredients:

  • Plantain -1/2
  • Beetroot -1
  • Mustard seeds/Kadugu -1/2tsp
  • Green chilli -1
  • Red chilli -2
  • Cumin seeds/Seerakam -1/4tsp
  • Urad Dal/Ulutham parupu -1/4tsp
  • Coconut gratings -2tblsp Salt -1tsp or as required
  • Oil -1tblsp or as required

Preparation:

  • Chop beetroot and plantain into small pieces

Procedure:

  • Pour oil in a pan
  • Add mustard seeds, urad dal, curry leaves, cumin seeds, green chilli and red chilli and fry
  • Then add beetroots and fry well
  • Add plantains and fry till it gets cooked
  • Then add coconut gratings and salt and mix well
  • Beetroot Plantain Fry is now ready!!!

Step by Step Procedure:
