Wheat Puttu/Gothumai puttu

IMG_0497This is a tasty and easy puttu made with wheat flour. It can be had as an evening snack or for breakfast too. The recipe is as follows

Preparation Time: 10minutes

Cooking Time: 25minutes

Ingredients:

  • Wheat flour/Gothumai maavu –acup
  • Coconut -1/4cup grated
  • Sugar -2tblsp
  • Warm water –As required
  • Salt -1/2tsp

Preparation:

  • Dry roast wheat flour in low flame for 5minutes
  • Grate coconut

Procedure:

  • Take roasted wheat flour in a bowl and add salt and add warm water and mix and keep it in idly cooker and steam for 10minutes until it gets cooked
  • After it cools take it out and add coconut and sugar to it and mix wellp
  • Wheat puttu is now ready!!!
