Vermicelli Kesari/Semiya Kesari

IMG_7948This is an easy and tasty sweet made with vermicelli. This can be made as an evening snacks for kids when they come from school. Adding food color like red or yellow is optional but I won’t add usually as it is not good for health. The recipe is as follows

Preparation Time: 5minutes

Cooking Time: 20minutes

Ingredients:

  • Vermicelli/Semiya -1cup
  • Water -2cups
  • Sugar -3/4cup
  • Condensed Milk -1/4cup
  • Cardamom /Elakai /Elachi -2
  • Fried cashew -1tsp
  • Fried Raisins/Kismis -2tsp
  • Ghee -2tblsp
  • Food color –A pinch (Optional)

Preparation:

  • Pour ghee and fry cashew and kismis and keep

Procedure:

  • Pour ghee in a pan
  • Add vermicelli and fry well
  • Then add water and boil till it gets cooked
  • Add sugar and mix well
  • Add cardamom and mix
  • Add condensed milk and mix well
  • Add fried nuts and mix well
  • Vermicelli Kesari is now ready!!!

Step by Step Procedure:

Pour ghee in a pan. Add vermicelli and fry well
