Plantain Chips/Vazhakai Chips

IMG_0250This is a crispy and tasty chips which you can make quickly for an evening snack. It can be taken with a cup of coffee and can be prepared for kids when they come from school. The recipe is as follows

Preparation Time: 5minutes

Cooking Time: 20minutes

Ingredients:

  • Plantain/Vazhakai -1
  • Pepper powder/Milagu thool -1tsp
  • Salt -1tsp or as required
  • Oil –For deep frying

Preparation:

  • Slice plantain into small thin slices

Procedure:

  • Slice plantain into small thin slices. Slice it as thin as possible
  • Pour oil in a pan for deep frying
  • As soon as you slice you should immediately fry it in oil
  • Drain it using a tissue paper and add salt and pepper powder and mix well
  • Plantain Chips is now ready!!!

Step by Step Procedure:
