Onion Mint Chutney

IMG_7604This is a tasty and a simple chutney made with onion and mint leaves. It tastes best as a side dish for idli and dosa. The recipe is as follows

Preparation Time: 15minutes

Cooking Time: 20minutes

Ingredients:

  • Big onion -1
  • Red chilli -2
  • Mint leaves –2cups
  • Garlic -8pods
  • Salt -1tsp or as required
  • Tamarind -1inch piece
  • Oil -1tblsp or as required

Preparation:

  • Chop onion into small pieces
  • Wash mint leaves

Procedure:

  • Pour oil in a pan
  • Add red chilli, garlic and onion and fry till onion becomes golden brown in color
  • Then add mint leaves and fry till it shrinks
  • Allow it to cool and grind by adding salt and tamarind
  • Onion Mint Chutney is now ready!!!
