Masala Dosai

IMG_7871This is a delicious dosa recipe which has stuffing with potato, onion and spices. The recipe is as follows

Preparation Time: 15minutes

Cooking Time: 20minutes

Ingredients:

  • Idli/Dosa Batter -1cup(For homemade idli/dosa batter click here –> Click)
  • Potatoes -2
  • Onion -2
  • Green chilli -2
  • Curry leaves –A spring
  • Turmeric powder/Manjal thool -2tsp
  • Coriander powder/Malli thool -1tsp
  • Cumin powder/Seeraka Powder-1tsp
  • Chilli powder/Milagai thool -1tsp
  • Mustard vseeds/Kadugu -1tsp
  • Urad Dal/Ulutham parupu -1/2tsp
  • Salt -1tsp
  • Oil -1tblsp or as required

Preparation:

  • Chop onion into small pieces
  • Pressure cook potaotes for 2whistles in high flame and chop it into fine pieces

Procedure:

  • Pour oil in a pan
  • Add mustard seeds to it and after they crackle, add urad dal, green chilli, curry leaves and onion and fry
  • Then add potatoes and fry well
  • Then add coriander powder, cumin powder and salt and mix well
  • Take a dosa tawa and pour batter on it
  • Add the masala on top
  • Add chilli powder and oil and cook on both sides
  • Masala Dosai is now ready!!!

Step by Step Procedure:
