Mango Jam

IMG_0619This is a homemade jam recipe which can be done using natural preservatives. This will be very tasty with just 3ingredients. You can make this in a bulk and store it in refrigerator for 10days. You have to use a clean dry spoon every time. You can have it with bread, bun etc. The jam tastes best with ripe mangoes. The recipe is as follows

Preparation Time: 5minutes

Cooking Time: 30minutes

Ingredients:

  • Ripe mango/Mambalam -1
  • Sugar/Jaggery/Vellam -1/2cup
  • Lemon juice -1tsp

Preparation:

  • Chop mango into small pieces

Procedure:

  • In a pan add mango and jaggery and stir in low flame
  • Keep on stirring till mango becomes soft and add lemon juice and stir in low flame
  • After it becomes thick stir for some time and switch off the flame
  • Mango Jam is now ready!!!
