Green Chilli Rasam/Pachai Milagai Rasam

IMG_0766This is a simple and easy rasam recipe which you can make quickly when you are in a hurry. It goes well with steamed rice. The recipe is as follows

Preparation Time: 15minutes

Cooking Time: 20minutes

Ingredients:

  • Green chilli -4
  • Garlic -3pods
  • Tomato -1
  • Curry leaves –A spring
  • Pepper powder/Milagu thool -1tsp
  • Hing/Asafoetida/Perunkayam -1tsp
  • Tamarind Water -1cup (Soak lemon size tamarind in water and extract the juice)
  • Water -1cup
  • Coriander leaves -1tsp
  • Salt -1tsp
  • Oil -1tblsp or as required

Preparation:

  • Wash and chop green chilli and tomato into small pieces
  • Chop garlic into small pieces

Procedure:

  • Pour oil in a pan
  • Add green chilli and fry
  • Add garlic and fry erll
  • Then add tomato and fry
  • Then add curry leaves and mix well
  • Then add tamarind water, water and pepper powder and mix well
  • Then add hing and salt and boil
  • Add coriander leaves and mix well
  • Green Chilli Rasam is now ready!!!

Step by Step Procedure:

Pour oil in a pan. Add green chilli and fry
