Curry leaves Chutney/Karivepilai Chutney

IMG_0920This is a tasty and healthy chutney made with curry leaves. The taste will be very nice and it can be given for kids and they will surely like it a lot. It goes well as a side dish for idli and dosa. The recipe is as follows

Preparation Time: 10minutes

Cooking Time: 25minutes

Ingredients:

  • Curry leaves/Karivepilai -1and 1/2cups
  • Garlic -15pods
  • Red chilli -2
  • Big Onion -1
  • Tamarind -1inch piece
  • Salt -1tsp or as required
  • Oil -1tblsp or as required

Preparation:

  • Take curry leaves from stem and wash and keep
  • Chop onion into small pieces

Procedure:

  • Pour oil in a pan
  • Add red chilli and garlic and fry
  • Then add onion and fry till it becomes golden brown in color
  • Then add curry leaves and fry till it shrinks
  • Then grind it by adding salt and tamarind
  • Curry leaves Chutney is now ready!!!

Step by Step Procedure:

Take curry leaves from stem and wash and keep
