Baby Corn Gravy

IMG_9852This is an easy and tasty curry. It can be taken as a side dish for chapathi, naan, parathas, idli and dosa. The recipe is as follows

Preparation Time: 10minutes

Cooking Time: 30minutes

Ingredients:

  • Baby Corn -10
  • Big Onion -1
  • Tomato -1
  • Green chilli -2
  • Cinnamon/Pattai -1inch piece
  • Cloves/Krambu -2
  • Carsamom/Elakai/Elachi -2
  • Red chilli powder/Milagai thool -2tsp
  • Coriander powder/Malli thool -2tsp
  • Water -1/2cup
  • Salt -1tsp or as required
  • Oil -1tblsp+1tblsp or as required

Preparation:

  • Chop onion and tomato into small pieces

Procedure:

  • Pressure cook baby corn for 3whistles in high flame and in low flame for 10minutes
  • Pour 1tblsp oil in a pan
  • Add onion and fry till it becomes golden brown in color
  • Then add tomato and fry till it becomes soft and allow to cool down and grind it in a mixer along with green chillies
  • Pour 1tblsp oil in a pan
  • Add cinnamon, cloves, cardamom and grinded paste and fry
  • Add chilli powder, coriander powder and salt and mix well
  • Add water and boil
  • Add the cooked baby corn and boil till the gravy gets thick
  • Baby Corn Gravy is now ready!!!

Step by Step Procedure:
