Garlic Chutney

IMG_9720This is a tasty chutney made with garlic. It tastes best as a sidedish for idli and dosa. The recipe is as follows

Preparation Time: 10minutes

Cooking Time: 15minutes

Ingredients:

  • Garlic -25pods
  • Red chilli -2
  • Curry leaves –A spring
  • Tamarind -1inch pieces
  • Salt -1tsp or as required
  • Oil -2tblsp or as required

Preparation:

  • Chop garlic into small pieces

Procedure:

  • Pour oil in a pan
  • Add red chilli and fry
  • Then add garlic and fry till it becomes slight red in color
  • Then add curry leaves and tamarind and mix well and allow to cool and grind it by adding salt
  • If you wish temper it by frying mustard seeds, urad dal, hing and pour it over the chutney
  • Garlic chutney is now ready!!!

Step by Step Procedure:
