Curry leaves Rice/Karivepilai Sadam

IMG_9224This is a tasty and healthy rice made with curry leaves. This can also be done when you have some leftover rice. It can be made easily when you are in a hurry. The recipe is as follows

Preparation Time: 15minutes

Cooking Time: 15minutes

Ingredients:

  • Cooked Rice -1cup
  • Curry leaves -1/2cup
  • Pepper powder/Milagu thool -2tsp
  • Cumin powder/Seeraka thool -1tsp
  • Hing/Asafoetida/Perunkayam -1tsp
  • Mustard seeds/Kadugu -1tsp
  • Urad Dal/Ulutham parupu -1tsp
  • Salt -1tsp
  • Oil -3tblsp or as required

Preparation:

  • Wash curry leaves and dry it and keep

Procedure:

  • Dry fry curry leaves and keep aside
  • Pour oil in a pan
  • Add pepper powder, cumin powder, hing and fry and grind it with curry leaves and mix it with rice
  • Pour oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and urad dal and fry and pour it over the rice and mix well
  • Curry leaves rice is now ready!!!

Step by Step Procedure:
