Capsicum Jack fruit Seeds Fry/Palakottai kodamilagai poriyal

IMG_9605This is a tasty and a different fry made with jack fruit seeds which goes well as a side dish for rice. Here we add capsicum with this which gives a nice taste and flavor. The recipe is as follows

Preparation Time: 20minutes

Cooking Time: 20minutes

Ingredients:

  • Jack fruit Seeds/Palakottai -10-15
  • Mustard seeds/Kadugu -1tsp
  • Big Onion -1
  • Garlic -3
  • Curry leaves –A spring
  • Capsicum -1/4cup
  • Red chilli powder/Milagai thool -2tsp
  • Turmeric powder/Manjal thool -1tsp
  • Coconut gratings -1/4cup
  • Salt -1tsp or as required
  • Oil -1tblsp or as required

Preparation:

  • Pressure cook jack fruit seeds in a cooker for 3whistle in high flame and in low flame for ten minutes by adding water
  • Chop onion and capsicum into small pieces
  • Chop boiled jack fruit seeds into small pieces

Procedure:

  • Pressure cook jack fruit seeds in a cooker for 3whistle in high flame and in low flame for ten minutes by adding water
  • Chop boiled jack fruit seeds into small pieces
  • Pour oil in a pan
  • Add mustard seeds, curry leaves, garlic and onion and fry
  • Then add capsicum and fry well
  • Then add the chopped jackfruit seeds and mix well
  • Then add chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt and mix well
  • Then add the grated coconut and mix well
  • Capsicum Jack fruit Seeds Fry is now ready!!!

Step by Step Procedure:
