Brown Channa Fried Rice/Brown Kondakadalai Fried Rice

IMG_9669This is a tasty fried rice made with brown chickpeas. The preparation is very easy and the taste will be awesome. The recipe is as follows

Preparation Time: 30minutes

Cooking Time: 25minutes

Ingredients:

  • Basmati Rice -1cup
  • Big Onion -2
  • Brown Chickpeas/Brown kondakadalai -1/4cup
  • Ginger garlic paste -1tblsp(For homemade ginger garlic paste click here –> Click)
  • Curd -1/4cup
  • Biriyani leaf -1
  • Carrot -1
  • Beans -5-8
  • Capsicum -1/2
  • Cabbage -1/2cup (I used purple cabbage)
  • Soya Sauce -1tblsp
  • Water -1cup
  • Salt -1tsp or as required
  • Oil -3tblsp

Preparation:

  • Pressure cook basmati rice with 1cup water for 1whistle in high flame and in low flame for 5minutes
  • Pressure cook brown chickpeas for 3whistles in high flame and in low flame for 10minutes
  • Wash and chop vegetables into small pieces
  • Chop onion into small pieces

Procedure:

  • Pour oil in a pan
  • Add biriyani leaf, onions and fry
  • Add ginger garlic paste and fry
  • Then add curd and mix well
  • Add vegetables and cover and cook till vegetables gets cooked
  • Add soya sauce and mix well
  • Add boiled chickpeas and mix well
  • Add basmati rice and salt and mix well
  • Brown Channa Fried Rice is now ready!!!

Step by Step Procedure:

Pour oil in a pan. Add biriyani leaf, onions and fry
