Bitter gourd Chips/Pavakkai Chips

IMG_9521This is a quick and easy snack done with bitter gourd. The preparation is easy and tastes very great for an evening snack. The crispy chips sipped with a cup of tea will be so good for an evening snack. The recipe is as follows

Preparation Time: 20minutes

Cooking Time: 25minutes

Ingredients:

  • Bitter gourd -2
  • Corn flour/Chola maavu -1/4cup
  • Rice flour/Arisi Maavu -1/2cup
  • Besan Flour/Kadalai Maavu -4tblsp
  • Red chilli powder/Milagai thool -2tblsp
  • Fennel powder/Sombu thool/Perunjeeraka thool -2tsp
  • Salt -2tsp or as required
  • Oil- For deep frying

Preparation:

  • Wash and chop bitter gourd into thin slices

Procedure:

  • Wash and chop bitter gourd into thin slices
  • Then add corn flour, rice flour, besan flour, chilli powder, fennel powder and salt
  • Pour oil in a pan for deep frying
  • Deep fry one by one and drain in a paper towel
  • Bitter gourd chips is now ready!!!

Step by Step Procedure:
