Sweet Corn Rice

IMG_7575This is an easy lunch recipe which you can prepare easily and give for your kids. This can also be prepared if you have some left over rice. This variety rice can be prepared when you are in a hurry as you can prepared it very easily in little time.

Preparation Time: 10minutes

Cooking Time: 20minutes

Ingredients:

  • Cooked Rice -1cup
  • Big Onion -1
  • Cinnamon/Pattai -1inch piece
  • Cloves/Krambu -2
  • Cardamom/Elachi/Yelakai -3
  • Biriyani leaf -1
  • Ginger garlic paste -2tsp(For homemade gingergarlic paste click here –> Click )
  • Sweet Corn -1/4cup
  • Red chilli powder/Milagai thool -2tsp
  • Coriander powder/Malli thool -1tsp
  • Turmeric powder/Manjal thool -1/2 tsp
  • Salt -2tsp or as required
  • Oil -1tblsp or as required

Preparation:

  • Cook rice
  • Chop onion into small pieces

Procedure:

  • Pour oil in a pan
  • Add cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, biriyani leaf, onion and fry till onion becomes golden brown in color
  • Then add ginger garlic paste and mix well
  • Then add sweet corn and mix well so that it gets coated with the masala
  • Then add chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and salt and mix well
  • Then add rice and mix well
  • Sweet Corn Rice is now ready!!!

Step by Step Procedure:
