Radish Capsicum Fry

IMG_8173This is a tasty and a healthy dish made with radish and capsicum. This goes well as a side dish for rice. The combination of radish and capsicum gives a nice flavor and taste. The recipe is as follows

Preparation Time: 20minutes

Cooking Time: 30minutes

Ingredients:

  • Radish -2
  • Big Onion -1
  • Tomato -1
  • Fennel Seeds/Sombu/Perunjeerakam -1tsp
  • Cumin seeds/Seerakam -1tsp
  • Green Chilli -2
  • Ginger garlic paste -2tsp
  • Capsicum -1/4cup
  • Red Chilli powder/Milagai Thool -2tsp or as required
  • Coriander powder/Malli thool -2tsp
  • Turmeric powder/Manjal thool -1tsp
  • Water -1/2 cup
  • Poppy Seeds/Khus Khus/Kasa kasa -1tsp
  • Salt -1tsp or as required
  • Oil -2tblsp or as required

Preparation:

  • Wash and chop radish, capsicum and green chilli to small pieces
  • Chop onion into small pieces

Procedure:

  • Pour oil in a cooker
  • Add cumin seeds and fennel seeds and after they crackle add onion and fry
  • Then add green chili and ginger garlic paste and fry
  • Then add radish and capsicum and fry
  • Then add chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and salt and mix well
  • Then add tomatoes and fry
  • Then add water and close the cooker and pressure cook for 2whistles in high flame and in low flame for 10minutes
  • After the pressure goes by itself open cooker and add poppy seeds and boil
  • Radish Capsicum fry is now ready!!!
