Mint Capsicum Rice/Pudhina Kudamilagai Sadam

IMG_7293This is an easy variety rice recipe which you can make easily. You can also make this when you have some leftover rice in fridge. You can make this when you are in a hurry or pack as an easy dish for children when going to school. The recipe is as follows

Preparation Time: 15minutes

Cooking Time: 20minutes

Ingredients:

  • Cooked rice -1cup
  • Mint leaves -1/4cup
  • Small onion -15
  • Green chilli -2
  • Biriyani leaf -2
  • Cumin seeds/Seerakam -1tsp
  • Urad Dal/Ulutham parupu -1/2tsp
  • Capsicum -3tblsp
  • Salt -1tsp or as required
  • Oil -1tblsp or as required

For Grinding:

  • Mint leaves -1/4cup
  • Small onion -15
  • Green chilli -2

Grind this to a fine paste by adding water

Preparation:

  • Cook rice
  • Chop capsicum into small pieces
  • Grind mint leaves, small onion and green chilli to a fine paste by adding water

Procedure:

  • Pour oil in pan
  • Add biriyani leaf, cumin seeds and urad dal and fry
  • Then add capsicum and fry
  • Grind mint leaves, small onion and green chilli to a fine paste by adding water and add this and boil well
  • Then add rice and mix well
  • Mint Capsicum rice is now ready!!!

Step by Step Procedure:
